For many people Everton were set to be the dark horses of this Premier League season after splashing out over £100m in the summer on the likes of Wayne Rooney, Sandro Ramirez and Michael Keane. It didn’t go quite to plan for the Toffees however, and after a dire start to the season Sam Allardyce had to be drafted in to save them form relegation.
Big Sam has allowed the Merseyside club to ascend to ninth place in the table, but that has not prevented the club from thinking about discarding some of their new faces as early as this summer. Perhaps the biggest flop, Sandro Ramirez, left on loan to Sevilla in January, but Michael Keane could be set for an exit too, according to the Mirror.
The central defender has made 19 appearances since his £30m move from Burnley, but he hasn’t been able to replicate the good form that earned him a move from the Clarets in the summer. Everton will likely have to sell the defender for a loss, but reports suggest that they want him gone as quickly as possible.
