Everton manager David Moyes insists he has no intention of selling Joleon Lescott to Manchester City after turning down the England defender’s transfer request.

City have had two offers of 16 and 18 million pounds rejected by Moyes and Lescott tried to force Everton’s hand this week by asking to leave.

But Moyes is determined to keep the 26-year-old at Goodison Park and he warned Lescott he won’t bow to his demands.

“We will continue to work with him as we appreciate his many qualities as a player,” Moyes told Everton’s website.

“I have said all along that I have no intention of selling my best players.

Joleon is simply not for sale.”
