Everton want Antonee Robinson back

Everton are interested in signing Wigan Athletic left-back Antonee Robinson in the summer transfer window, according to Sky Sports. Fulham and Sheffield United are also looking to secure the services of the 23-year-old USA international left-back.

The Toffees are on the hunt for a new left-back after Leighton Baines retired at the end of the past season. Lucas Digne is the first-choice left-back at Everton at the moment, and the 27-year-old France international needs competition. Carlo Ancelotti’s side need a strong squad in order to challenge for the Europa League places during the 2020-21 campaign.

Everton sold Robinson to Wigan in the summer of 2019. With the Latics having been relegated to League One and also being under administration at the moment, the 23-year-old is available for sale. The youngster cored one goal and provided one assist in 38 Championship matches for the Latics during the 2019-20 campaign, according to WhoScored.
