Everton want Augustin

According to France Football, Everton are interested in bringing RB Leipzig striker Jean-Kevin Augustin over to Goodison Park during the January transfer window. The youngster has three goals in 10 appearances in the league this season, and he seems like an interesting prospect. However, that isn’t the big story here in our eyes.

To us, this seems to be a sign of the Toffees playing some mind games with the German club. After all, it’s well known that the two have tussled back and forth over Ademola Lookman, with one side saying one thing and one side saying another.

At the age of 21, though, Augustin is certainly the kind of forward that would interest the Premier League side, if only because he’s still got plenty of time to grow and develop. Some fans and media members alike have suggested that some kind of swap deal could end up happening, which would likely make sense for all parties involved.
