Everton are interested in signing Emre Can from Juventus and willing to pay £30 million to secure his signature, according to Mirror.
The German international made his way to Turin on a free transfer from Liverpool after their defeat to Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final, but he hasn’t been able to establish himself as a member of the team with the Serie A champions. He was left out of their Champions League squad at the start of the season, and apparently told to find a new club.
The 26-year-old midfielder, also capable of playing in the back line, was linked with Manchester United earlier, but he reportedly wasn’t interested in that move out of respect for Liverpool, as his former club have a huge rivalry going with United. The same, however, can be said of Everton and it remains to be seen if he would accept to return to the city in the northwest of England and wear the blue shirt, having previously worn the red. He’s also been linked with the two Milan clubs.
It’s Everton’s new boss Carlo Ancelotti who wants Emre Can there, having been interested in his services as the Napoli coach last summer.
