Everton want Pienaar to sign new deal

Everton are ready to offer Steven Pienaar a new contract in order to fend of interest from clubs around Europe.

Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are all reportedly interested in the South African midfielder.

Pienaar, who has only 15 months left on his contract, has become a key player at Everton since joining the club.

Everton offered Pienaar a new deal last summer, but that fell short.

Pienaar’s agent Ivan Modia said: “Big clubs are interested but he is still under contract.”

Reports say Everton chairman Bill Kenwright will be desperate to block any sale to rivals Liverpool.
