Everton remain keen on signing Nathan Patterson from Rangers in the January transfer window, but Liverpool have pulled out of the race, according to The Sun. It has been reported that Premier League clubs Liverpool and Everton wanted to sign Rangers right-back Patterson in the summer transfer window.
Rafael Benitez’s Everton made a bid of £5 million for the right-back, but defending Scottish Premiership champions Rangers turned it down. Rangers reportedly rate the 19-year-old Scotland international defender at £10 million.
Liverpool reportedly wanted Patterson in the summer transfer window, but the Reds have pulled out. This will give their Merseyside rivals Everton a clear run at Patterson when the transfer window opens in January.
