According to a recent report from Liverpool Echo, Everton are in a battle with West Ham United when it comes to the signing of Manchester United attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard.
While the Englishman was once considered to be one of the most promising youngsters in the country, we’re at the stage now whereby his days at Old Trafford seem to be numbered. United’s first team is just going from strength to strength, and if they carry on down this road, then there may not be a spot for ‘J-Lingz’ anymore.
Over the course of the next few months we’re likely to see quite a few unlikely moves, but in terms of what is going to be best for the career of Jesse Lingard, the two aforementioned clubs make a lot of sense for him.
If he’s hopeful of playing in Europe, though, he’s probably far more likely to achieve that with the Toffees.
