According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Crystal Palace have rejected a £70 million bid (that included two players) for Wilfried Zaha. The offer came in from fellow Premier League side Everton, who have made it clear that they are incredibly interested in the idea of bringing the Ivory Coast international to Goodison Park – although they’re set to move grounds within the next few years, but that’s neither here nor there.
Palace have stated in the past that they want upwards of £80 million in order to agree to the sale of Zaha, but there are some rumours indicating that they could now be increasing that to around £100 million. While that may seem like a particularly unusual figure and increase from the aforementioned number, it certainly feels like the Eagles are doing everything within their power to keep Zaha at the club – even though it’s clear to see that he doesn’t really want to be there anymore.
