France defender Patrice Evra says England will hope to reproduce Chelsea’s Champions League-winning spirit during Euro 2012.
England meet Laurent Blanc’s men in Donetsk on June 11, a game that will kick off Group D, before clashes against Sweden and Ukraine.
Evra, 31, is adamant Chelsea’s European win, in which they defied the odds to beat Bayern Munich in the final, will give the national side added impetus.
“I take the example of Chelsea. They were at rock bottom when (Roberto) Di Matteo took over,” he told The Sun.
“But they’ve ended up as champions of Europe. The England team remain the team who really want to beat us.”
