Veteran defender Patrice Evra is nearing closer to extending his stay in Turin, Tuttosport can reveal.
The 34-year-old has been performing at a very high level this season and the Bianconeri chiefs are determined to offer him a new deal.
Since his current contract is due to expire at the end of the campaign, Evra could soon be putting pen to paper on one-year extension.
The experienced defender has been keeping Alex Sandro out of the starting line-up, making 21 league appearances for the club and scoring one goal.
Evra has also played himself back into the first team plans of France coach Didier Deschamps and is widely expected to be in the starting line-up in the opening game against Romania.
Even though he will be 35 by the time the tournament starts, the former Manchester United full-back will have an important role to play for Les Bleus.
