Patrice Evra has been fantastic for Manchester United this past two seasons as he helped them to two Premier League trophies and this year’s Champions League. However the French full-back has not yet signed an extension to the 3½ year deal that he signed when he first came to Old Trafford.
Now AC Milan want to take Evra to San Siro on a free transfer after his deal with Manchester United expires next summer, according to Football Italia. Evra has often spoken about his worries that Manchester United have let him enter the final year of his contract without offering him a deal, and now the Red Devils may live to regret it.
According to Football Italia, Patrice Evra is demanding £3.5 million per year in wages which the club think is a little too much. But should United not offer Evra the deal he wants, AC Milan can wait until next summer before they pounce one one of the best left back in the world.
Aside from that AC Milan are also closing in to a move for Italian right-back Gianluca Zambrotta. According to the same magazine, Football Italia, the Italian has admitted that he is home-sick and he will look to make his return to Seria A swiftly after a disappointing couple of years with Barcelona.
