Competition: Premier League
Market: Neil Warnock to be next Crystal Palace manager
Odds: 8/11 @ William Hill
Crystal Palace are reportedly lining Neil Warnock to be their next manager with odds slashed last night following a flurry of bets. Warnock was previously manager of Leeds United until last year, but lost his job in April after a run of bad results.
He is best known for being in charge of Sheffield United from 1999 until 2007, in which time he led the Blades to the Premier League, while also enjoying famous cup runs to the FA Cup and League Cup semi-finals.
With his reputation for being an expert at managing relegation-threatened sides, William Hill are giving odds of 8/11 for Crystal Palace to appoint him as replacement for Tony Pulis, who resigned from his post recently.
Palace co-chairman Steve Parrish has said he wants to confirm a managerial appointment as soon as possible, and there are a lot of names on the list according to most bookmakers. Former West Brom head coach Steve Clarke, ex-Celtic manager Neil Lennon, and Real Madrid coach Paul Clement have all been linked to the club.
