Ex-Man City striker Negredo heading to UAE

According to AS, Alvaro Negredo is set to move over to the United Arab Emirates in order to sign for Al-Nasr. The 33 year old has played for a series of big clubs throughout his career, including Real Madrid and Manchester City, but he’s most recently been over in Turkey with Beskitas. As he moves in the final stage of his time in the game, it seems as if he’s taken it upon himself to make a smart financial decision for himself and his family.

That’s something which has become much more common in the last few years, with players in their early to mid thirties taking one final paycheck in order to secure their future for after they’ve hung up their boots. Negredo, who was a part of the Spain squad who won Euro 2012, is considered by some to be one of the most underrated strikers in European football over the last decade.
