FA Cup Final: Chelsea v Liverpool Betting Preview

The 2012 FA Cup final will be held at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 5, when Chelsea and Liverpool will do battle to win the world’s oldest domestic football cup competition.

Despite suffering a 2-0 loss to Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Chelsea are clear-cut favorites to lift the English FA Cup trophy on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are coming off a dismal performance against Fulham at Anfield. The match that lacked quality on both sides ended 1-0 in Fulham’s favor courtesy of a Martin Škrtel own goal.

As a result, Chelsea are 4/6 to lift the cup, while Liverpool are 6/5 to claim FA Cup glory.

Saturday’s FA Cup final  features a bevy of intriguing head to head matchups, including  Didier Drogba v Andy Carroll, Frank Lampard v Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres v Luis Suarez.

Drogba, Torres and Suarez are all 5.50 to score first for their respective clubs, while England international Andy Carroll is 6.50 to score first for Liverpool. In addition, Lampard is 7.00 to score first for Chelsea, and Gerrard is 7.50 to score first for the Reds.

As previously noted, Chelsea are the favorites to hoist the FA Cup trophy at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 5.
