Serie A giants Lazio are keeping close tabs on Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz, Il Corriere dello Sport can reveal.
The Biancocelesti may have no choice but to cash in on star player Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the summer, and they expect to earn in excess of €150 million from the sale.
As a result, Lazio officials are already looking at potential replacements and Real Betis starlet Fabian Ruiz has emerged as their top target.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough season in La Liga this term, having produced 2 goals and 5 assists in 22 league appearances for los Verdiblancos.
Ruiz was recently rewarded with a new and improved contract, whereas his release clause was increased from €15m to €27m, but even the new asking price is well within Lazio’s range.
