Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski signed a new long-term contract with the Premier League club on Friday.
Fabianski is currently the back-up to first-choice keeper Manuel Almunia, but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger believes the Pole has a bright future at the Emirates Stadium.
The 24-year-old, who signed from Legia Warsaw in 2007, made 18 first-team appearances in all competitions last term and kept nine clean sheets.
Fabianski told the club’s official website: “This a big motivation for me to keep working hard and shows that the club believes in me.
“I’ll be doing everything I can to repay that belief by helping Arsenal to win trophies in the coming years.”
Wenger added: “I rate Lukasz highly and I am very pleased that he has committed his future to the club.
“I believe he is a top competitor, he’s intelligent and reads the game very well and has all the ingredients to be successful in his position.”
