Sunday People is reporting that Liverpool are stepping up their efforts to sign Portuguese defender Fabio Coentrao from Real Madrid.
It is no secret the Reds are on the lookout for a new left-back and they have so far been linked with Juan Bernat, Marcos Rojo and few more high-profile players.
Nevertheless, Sunday People has suggested that Liverpool have switched their attention towards Real Madrid full-back Fabio Coentrao.
The same source claims the Reds have been in contact with the player’s agent Pedro Mendes and they expect to wrap up the deal despite interest from Manchester City and Monaco.
Los Blancos are prepared to cash in on the Portuguese defender in the summer transfer window and they reportedly value him at £11.5 million.
His suitors Liverpool still have a very good chance of winning the Premier League title, and they are available at 21/10 to go all the way this season.
