The Daily Star understands that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
The Spain international came through the ranks at Real’s fierce rivals Barcelona so the move would raise some eyebrows though with his Stamford Bridge future uncertain a bid could well be lodged.
Since moving to the Blues from Barca in the summer of 2014 the twenty-nine year old has racked up ninety-four appearances in all competitions, scoring eleven times while he helped them to a Premier League and League Cup double in his first campaign.
However, he was absent from Antonio Conte’s first match-day squad as he oversaw a 2-1 home victory over West Ham United on Monday evening.
Goals from Eden Hazard and Diego Costa either side of James Collins’ response for the visitors secured the points for the 2015 Champions, who are priced at 5/1 to go all the way this time around.
