Fabregas speaks out on Barcelona future

Cesc Fabregas is happy at Barcelona despite speculation that he wants to find a way out of the club, reports Talksport.

The midfielder hasn’t played as much first-team football as he would like this summer and reports suggested he wasn’t happy with life at the Nou Camp.

One particularly fascinating rumour was that AC Milan were weighing up a loan move for Fabregas in January, something they might still consider.

However, for now, Fabregas has said that he is more than happy at Barcelona and is determined to fight for his place.

The Spanish international said: “I am calm and happy. I’m happy to have made the decision to return.”

“I have said since the first day that this was the most exciting professional challenge of my life, it is my dream to succeed at the club and I am here to fight to the end.”

This news will perhaps upset Arsenal fans who thought that there was an outside chance that Fabregas could return to the Emirates in January.

The situation could change of course. If at the end of the current season, Fabregas still isn’t playing too much, he might have to consider his future.

For now though, he is very happy at Barcelona and is not looking for a way out.

The 25-year-old has also spoken of his delight that former Arsenal team-mate Alex Song has joined him at Barcelona.

Like Fabregas, Song is now fighting to get into the Barcelona starting eleven.
