Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in appointing Paulo Fonseca as their new manager. Fonseca is without a managerial role at the moment, having parted company with AS Roma at the end of the past season. Interestingly, it is Jose Mourinho who has replaced the former Shakhtar Donetsk boss at the Italian club, having been sacked by Spurs in April.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Romano has reported that Fonseca wants to become the new Tottenham manager. The 48-year-old has been offered a three-year contract, and both parties are reportedly confident of getting a deal done.

Paratici has signed with Spurs until June 2024, same contract discussed with Fonseca.

Fonseca was a huge success during his time at Shakhtar. Under him, the club won the Ukrainian Premier League thrice and also did well in the Champions League. Under the Portuguese, Roma finished seventh in Serie A in 2020-21 and fifth in the league in 2019-20.
