Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Barcelona are still confident of signing Memphis Depay in the summer transfer window. The former Manchester United forward is leaving Lyon his summer and is wanted by Spanish and European giants Barcelona.

Well-known and well-respected journals Romano has reported that Barcelona are still confidence that Depay will be their player soon. The former Spanish and European giants have offered the 27-year-old a three-year contract and all parties are confident of getting a deal done.

Depay struggled to make an impact during his time at United, but the forward did well during his time at Lyon. The forward made 33 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for the French club this past season, scoring 20 goals and giving 12 assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
