Fabrizio Romano suggests Dele Alli could leave Tottenham Hotspur in January

Well-known football journalist Fabrizio Romano has said on the Here We Go Podcast that Dele Alli could leave Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window. The Sky Sport and The Guardian journalist, who is well connected and is a transfer expert, has claimed that the England international was close to leaving Spurs for Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2020.

D”ele Alli was close to leaving for PSG,” Romano said. “He could have also been included in the deal for Bale but Madrid didn’t want any player in the summer. In January or next summer something can change. He’s in a difficult period with Mourinho.”

Alli has made one start and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has played 74 minutes in the Europa League for Tottenham so far the season, according to WhoScored. The 24-year-old England international midfielder has been left of matchday squads by Tottenham head coach Jose Mourinho this season.
