(GSM) – A pair of goals from Radamel Falcao lifted Porto to a 4-1 win over Maritimo on Saturday in Portuguese play.
It was the visitors that managed to strike first after less than a minute when Takahito Soma found the back of the net, but Colombian striker Falcao bagged his first goal just three minutes later to make it 1-1.
Raul Meireles kept up the torrid start to the game in the eighth minute when he scored to give Porto a 2-1 lead, but the scoring tapered off after that.
Falcao bagged his second goal in the 51st minute to all but put Maritimo away, but Hulk’s fifth goal of the season did add an exclamation point to the win.
Porto are now five points back of Braga for second place with five matches left to play.
