Colombia striker Radamel Falcao has returned to Manchester United full of confidence after scoring three goals for his country during the international break.

Falcao, who has tallied four goals and four assists in English Premier League appearances for United this season, has struggled to establish himself as a first-team regular under Louis van Gaal following a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco.

“I think when I score it’s always important and that gives me confidence,” Falcao told Sport 360. “I said before I need minutes, I need to play games in a row and here in the national team I have had the opportunity.

“I gave my best and I scored and I now return to Manchester with more confidence.”

When asked what his goals are for the rest of the season, Falcao added: “We have the last eight games. I will give my best to have the chance to play as many minutes as possible.

“I have said before I need to play. I need minutes and I am confident about me, about my fitness. I am confident.

“I have faith about that and when the season finishes I am going to sit and think about my future and what is the best for my career.”

United paid £6 million to land Falcao on a season-long loan deal, and will need to splash out another £43.5 million to sign the Colombian to a permanent deal in the summer.

Nainggolan unsure over future

A.S. Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan is remains unsure whether he will stay at Roma next season amid ongoing negotiations with Cagliari over their share of the player.

The Belgium international, a regular under Rudi Garcia this season, has been linked with a big-money move to Liverpool and Manchester United in recent times.

However, Cagliari and Roma co-own Nainggolan, and the club’s have yet to agree a fee that would release him to the Giallorossi.

Nainggolan told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Will I stay at Roma? At the moment there’s a 50 per cent chance.

“However, I’m not worried as there’s still time. Roma and Cagliari have to find an agreement. I’m 100 per cent focused on Roma, it’s a great club, a great team and a beautiful city to live in.”

Nainggolan, 26, has tallied three goals and three assists in 37 appearances in all competitions for Roma this season.

In other news, Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski has insisted he wants to remain in Wales despite being linked with the Italian giants.
