Manchester United have completed the signing of striker Radamel Falcao on a season-long loan from Monaco, according to the Mail Online.
The Colombia international, who spent the second half of last season on the side-lines with a knee injury, had been strongly linked with a move to either Arsenal or Manchester City, though it is United who have struck the surprise deal.
Having moved to Ligue One from Atletico Madrid last summer, the 28 year old scored thirteen goals in twenty-two appearances though it was his form in Spain that saw him become one the most coveted strikers in World football.
In two seasons with Atleti, he made ninety-one appearances in all competitions, scoring seventy goals while internationally he has fifty-one caps and twenty goals for his country.
Louis van Gaal’s side, who remain winless this season following their goalless draw with Burnley on Saturday afternoon, are priced at 2/7 to beat Queens Park Rangers on September 14th.
