Falcao set for permanent United switch

Manchester United are close to securing a permanent deal for on-loan striker Radamel Falcao, according to the Express.

The Premier League giants took the Colombia international from Monaco on a season-long deal worth £250,000-a-weeek on transfer deadline day, and he has so far made three appearances for the club.

Prior to his move to England, Falcao had hit two-hundred club goals in his career so far across spells in Argentina, Portugal, Spain and France while internationally he has scored twenty goals in fifty-one caps for his country.

The 28 year old has spoken of his desire to remain with Louis van Gaal’s side, who currently sit in seventh place in the league after taking just eight points from their opening six games.

Having beaten West Ham United last time out, they host a struggling Everton side on Sunday afternoon and Falcao is the 15/4 favourite to get the first goal of the game.
