Bundesliga side FC Koln are considering a move for veteran striker Claudio Pizarro, according to Express.
The Billy Goats have largely struggled up front in the opening exchanges and they sit at Bundesliga rock bottom after scoring just once in first six matches.
And with Jhon Cordoba failing to properly replace last season’s top scorer Anthony Modeste, the club are in the market for attacking reinforcements.
Express claims that FC Koln are weighing up a move for free agent Claudio Pizarro, who would be able to play immediately if he agrees personal terms with the club.
The 38-year-old has been a free agent since his contract with Werder Bremen expired, but he only managed 1 goal in 19 league outings last season.
FC Koln face Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League later today and they can be backed at 7/10 to win the first European fixture at home after 25 years.
