Competition: Primeira League
Market: Porto to win the title
Odds: 10/11 @ William Hill

Porto are enjoying a strong start to the new season, with the Dragons top of the table after seven games. Unbeaten in the league, winning five and drawing two, Julen Lopetegui’s side are playing like champions, and winning the title is the sole objective this season. Porto were runners-up in the Primeira Liga in 2014/15, finishing three points behind eventual winners Benfica, but they’re five points better off than the defending champions this time round.

The league leaders have the best defensive record, and are the top scorers early on, so they’ll take some beating this season. Sporting Lisbon are breathing down their neck in second place, but they’re sure to struggle to match Porto’s results week in week out. Sporting finished third last season, and were considerably off the pace to Benfica and Porto, but the Primera Liga is now being regarded as a three-horse race in 2015/16.

Porto had long dominated the division before falling short to Benfica following their rise under Jorge Jesus – now of Sporting. However, the Dragons look like a side ready to reclaim their title this season, and William Hill are giving odds of 10/11 for Porto to rule the roost this time.
