Portuguese giants FC Porto have moved to announce that Argentine striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is no longer under contract with the club.

The Dragons revealed the news via their official publication Dragoes Diario, stating that the contract had been terminated on Thursday.

FC Porto appear to have already found a replacement for the Argentine, having agreed a deal for Vitoria Setubal striker Suk Hyun-Jun.

Daniel Osvaldo had joined the Dragons on a free transfer from Southampton in August 2015, but he has since failed to prove his worth at Estadio do Dragao.

The 29-year-old went on to make seven league appearances for the club, starting just two Primeira Liga matches, and scored one goal in the process.

Osvaldo is widely expected to return to Boca Juniors after leaving La Xeneize to move to Portugal last summer and he has already trained with the Argentine giants ahead of the proposed move.
