Swiss club FC Sion are showing interest in Brazilian star Ronaldinho, according to chairman Christian Constantin.
The 35-year-old became a free agent when he left Fluminense a couple of weeks ago and he has since revealed that he had no plans to hang up his boots just yet.
And it looks as though the Brazilian will be offered a chance to return to European football, with FC Sion showing interest.
Club president Christian Constantin has moved to reveal that he has held talks with Ronaldinho’s brother and agent Ronaldo Assis, who had enjoyed two spells with FC Sion between 1992 and 1997.
“It is true. Roberto was here last week, at Hotel Les Bains de Saillon,” Constantin was quoted as saying to Blick. “That is where I met him. Put it this way: I have been following the matter up close.”
Ronaldinho left Europe almost five years ago as he joined Flamengo from AC Milan, and he has since also represented Atletico Mineiro, Queretaro and Fluminense.
Following a pretty successful spell in Mexico, the former Barcelona superstar failed to make the expected impact on his return to Brazil, failing to score a single goal in seven league appearances.
