Falling to a dramatic 3-2 loss at home against arch-rivals Sunderland last time out, Middlesbrough are enduring what has become a real Championship struggle. Falling out of the play-off places, Michael Carrick’s men have the feel of a squad desperately seeking some kind of stability.
