February 14th: Wednesday’s Football Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

As the likes of PSG look to get their Champions League knockout stage adventure underway on Wednesday night, we have a host of eye-catching affairs from across the continent.

With fixtures from the likes of Serie A and the Scottish Premiership, we have found a couple of Wednesday betting markets that are worth taking note of.

19:45 Rangers vs Ross County

While Rangers might still find themselves tipped as an outside contender in this season’s Premiership title chase, the Scottish giants are certainly enjoying life under Philippe Clement. Riding what has been an extended wave of momentum and continuing to receive a string of plaudits, Wednesday’s hosts could potentially climb to the top of the table in midweek.

Extending on their Scottish Cup adventure over the weekend as they secured a routine 2-0 victory against Ayr, the former Monaco boss has seen his squad win all of their six domestic appearances across all formats since opening the New Year.

Bagging 15 strikes on their six-match winning run, Rangers could be calling on the red-hot Todd Cantwell to spearhead their charge at Ibrox here.

Along with finding the net during Rangers’ 2-1 victory against Aberdeen on February 6th, the former Norwich star has got on the scoresheet in three of his last four Premiership outings.

Likewise, winning all of their previous five meetings against Wednesday’s guests by an aggregate score of 13-2, Ross County certainly face a monumental challenge in midweek.

Although the Stages might have eventually clung to their top-flight status last season, interim boss Dan Cowie has a major job on his hands.

At the heart of another relegation scrap in 2024, the Dingwall-based outfit have collected just a pair of points from any of their last eight Premiership appearances – a run that stems all the way back to December 5th.

20:00 PSG vs Real Sociedad

While there might have been continued speculation over Luis Enrique’s long-term future in the French capital, PSG are enjoying an extended purple patch. Although Wednesday’s hosts might have eventually limped their way to a Champions League knockout stage ticket, the former Barcelona boss has his sights set on mounting a genuine European charge in 2024.

Desperate to get their hands on a maiden Champions League crown this season, the French heavyweights are unbeaten in all of their previous 16 straight appearances across all competitions.

With their eye-catching purple patch stemming all the way back to November 7th, PSG have also gained a real reputation for their clinical performances on home soil.

Not suffering a single defeat in Paris since the middle of September, Enrique’s men should be smelling the chance to pick up a crucial first-leg advantage here.

While Real Sociedad might have made a real Champions League statement back in December as they eventually edged out Inter Milan for top spot in Group D, the Spanish outfit should be bracing themselves for a stern examination over the next fortnight.

Failing to pick up any kind of momentum over the weekend as they had to settle for a shock 1-0 loss at home against Osasuna, Wednesday’s guests have failed to win any of their previous four domestic appearances.

Likewise, failing to find any kind of fluidity over the past few months and not notching a single strike in almost 400 minutes of action, Sociedad are rightfully tipped as an underdog contender here.
