February 19th: Saturday’s Premier League Accumulator – 7/1

With another stacked weekend from across the Premier League on our hands, we have a host of noteworthy meetings that are worth keeping an eye out for. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday acca, we have found a handful of helpful tips that are worth taking note of.

Saturday February 19th

BST 15:00 Arsenal vs Brentford

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, while Arsenal might have opened the New Year in the midst of a struggle, the Gunners should be boosted by an eye-catching side last time out. Picking up a hugely impressive 1-0 win away at fellow European contenders Wolves, Mikel Arteta’s men have their sights firmly set on securing a Champions League return this season. Once again showing their resolve in the Midlands, Pep Guardiola’s former right-hand man will be calling on his side to lay down another marker here. Hoping to fully bounce back from their previous five-match winless run across all formats, it should be noted that Arsenal have still lost just a pair of Premier League matchups since the start of December. Opening the 2021/22 campaign with that famous defeat away at Saturday’s guests, the Gunners will be looking to right that wrong in north London. While Brentford might have gained plenty of plaudits when making their top-flight debut last summer, the Bees have largely come crashing back down to earth. Although Thomas Frank’s side might have collected a 0-0 stalemate against Crystal Palace last time out, they have failed to win any of their last seven straight outings. Freefalling their way down the Premier League table, we’re backing a home victory at the Emirates here.

Tip: Arsenal win to nil @ 6/5

15:00 Crystal Palace vs Chelsea

Claiming their first Club World Cup crown over the weekend thanks to an extra-time winner against Brazilian outfit Palmeiras, there is no doubt that Chelsea will be looking to keep up that momentum here. While the Blues might find themselves all but out of the Premier League title chase this season, Thomas Tuchel’s men have managed to find a much-needed boost. Just coming past League One side Plymouth earlier in the month and extending on their FA Cup adventure, the defending European champions have won each of their last four matchups across all formats. Last seen on top-flight duties claiming a 2-0 win against London rivals Tottenham prior to January’s brief winter break, the former Borussia Dortmund boss has also seen his side lose just a single matchup across all formats since the start of December. Hoping to cash in on a struggling Crystal Palace this weekend, it should also be noted that they hold a stellar record against the Eagles. Including a 3-0 win when they welcomed them to Stamford Bridge back in August, Chelsea have won each of their last eight straight meetings against Saturday’s hosts. With Patrick Vieira’s side having to settle for a single point in back-to-back outings against Brentford and Norwich, the one-time Arsenal icon has seen his side fail to win any of their last five Premier League outings.

Tip: Chelsea win & under 4.5 goals @ 10/11

15:00 Aston Villa vs Watford

Starting with Saturday’s hosts, while Aston Villa might have made the trip to St. James’ Park smelling a golden chance last weekend, Steven Gerrard’s new squad are coming off the back of a downbeat display. Eventually hit with a 1-0 defeat against relegation scrappers Newcastle, the former Rangers boss was far from amused by his side’s display. While the one-time European champions might have found an immediate boost when bringing Gerrard to Villa Park back in November, they do have the feel of a side seeking a boost. Despite heading into January’s brief winter break with a 1-0 victory away at Everton, it should be noted that is the only victory that Villa have collected from their previous seven matchups across all formats. With their recent issues highlighted by a 2-1 defeat against Brentford, Gerrard’s side faces what could be a crucial meeting this weekend. While Watford might have made the decision to bring in Roy Hodgson last month, the Hornets appear to be freefalling their way back down to the Championship. Last seen getting hit with a deserved 2-0 loss against Brighton on home soil, Saturday’s guests have failed to win any of their last 12 straight outings, suffering 10 defeats. While Aston Villa might have found themselves in the midst of a recent struggle, we’re backing a home victory here.

Tip: Aston Villa win & over 1.5 goals @ 1/1
