Federici dashes Azzurri rumors

(GSM) – Reading goalkeeper Adam Federici has snubbed reports suggesting he is ready to play for Italy. Federici is currently a regular part of the Australia set-up.

However, he holds dual nationality, a fact which has raised claims that he is considering playing for Italy.

Federici is yet to feature as a senior international for the Socceroos and hence, he is free to switch sides if he wishes.

However, the 25-year-old insists he is fully committed to Australia.

Federici said, “I didn’t make the comments I’ve seen in the papers, but it was quite amusing to read them.

“I got a few texts from home telling me about it but I just laughed it off.

“I could go down that road if I wanted as my father and his family are all Italian, but I’m Aussie through and through.”
