A number of Italy’s top sides are keeping close tabs on Lazio goalkeeper Federico Marchetti, La Repubblica has revealed.
The highly rated keeper has seen little playing time of late due to a groin problem, but with his replacement Etrit Berisha in excellent form, the 31-year-old faces a fight in an attempt to return to the starting line-up.
According to La Repubblica, the likes of Napoli, AC Milan and Inter Milan are all closely monitoring the situation, ready to pounce.
The Azzurri are likely to start a search for a new shot-stopper when Pepe Reina returns to Liverpool, whereas the Rossoneri are actively looking to sign a long-term replacement for veteran Christian Abbiati.
Meanwhile, Inter would only pursue their interest in case first choice keeper Samir Handanovic leaves in the summer.
Lazio play host to Sassuolo on Sunday evening, and the Biancocelesti have been made 4/9 favourites to emerge victorious.
