Lazio star Felipe Anderson is on the verge of signing a new deal at Stadio Olimpico, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.
The Brazilian midfielder has earned rave reviews for his performances this season and Europe’s top clubs soon started casting admiring glances his way.
But, with Lazio chiefs desperate to keep hold of their prized asset, they are ready to go the extra mile in order to ward off interest in the player’s services.
Even if Anderson has a deal until June 2018 at Stadio Olimpico, the Biancocelesti aim to reward the 21-year-old with an improved contract and the good news is the Brazilian is prepared to extend his stay.
The attacking midfielder has been Lazio’s star performer this season, scoring 6 goals and producing as many assists in 20 Serie A outings.
The Biancocelesti climbed to Champions League positions after four straight wins and can now be backed at 13/8 to achieve a top 3 finish.
