Atletico Madrid are preparing for one of the most important summer transfer windows in the recent memory. The Spanish club already lost Diego Godin and Lucas Hernandez and are about to lose Antoine Griezmann as well. That means this summer a new crux of the team must be created and new signings are imminent.
One of them is Felipe, the Brazilian defender from Porto. After he spent three years at the Dragao, Porto have announced that they have agreed €20m deal with Atletico Madrid for Felipe following the defender’s farewell message to fans on Monday.
Felipe is 30 years old and joined Porto in 2016 when he left Corinthians. He established himself as a key player and after nearly 100 appearances in Liga NOS, his time to move on came this summer.
Writing on his official Instagram account, he said: “It was three years of living intensely blue and white with a new family that I built, and that will be remembered for the rest of my life!
