ESPN is today reporting that Everton’s Marouane Fellaini is in no rush to leave Merseyside and insists he is happy at the club right now.
The Belgian midfielder has been one of the star men in the Toffees good start to the English Premier League season and teams such as Chelsea and Manchester United were reportedly keeping tabs on him.
David Moyes is likely to sell the 24-year-old if the price in right and Fellaini himself said he is sure to leave in the next few years.
He said: “There is interest in me. But Everton are an ambitious club as well. I don’t think they’ll let their best players go just like that. I want to play for one of the biggest clubs one day. But I am patient.”
This is sure to be good news for Everton fans as they were fearful Fellaini would be leaving in the January transfer window.
It does seem as though one of the teams going for the title will come in for him in the future, but this campaign he is ready to help Moyes and his team try and land a place in the Champions League.
If they do manage that, then Fellaini might stay put for the long-term. We shall see.
