Fenerbahce won the local derby with Istanbul BB on Sunday to successfully defend their lead in the Turkish Super Lig.
The only goal of the match, played at Sükrü Saracoglu stadium in the Turkish metropole, came from Brazilian defender Vederson after 34 minutes of play.
The result allows ‘Fener’ to apply pressure on Galatasaray, with whom they shared the top spot until Sunday’s game.
Galatasaray get a chance to move back into shared first place, playing away to Kasimpasa on Monday.
