Fenerbahce confirm Nani talks
Turkish giants Fenerbahce have moved to confirm that they are on the verge of signing Portuguese winger Nani from Manchester United.
The Canaries are believed to have agreed a €6 million deal with the Red Devils, and they moved to confirm that the player was set to arrive in Istanbul to undergo a medical.
“Nani will be in Istanbul on Sunday for medical check up,” Fenerbahce wrote on their official Twitter account.
Nani returned to Old Trafford after a very successful loan spell with Sporting Lisbon, but it soon became clear he would be moving again this summer.
The 28-year-old had another three years to run on his contract at Manchester United, but he, nonetheless, decided to leave the club in search of first team football.
Nani did well to kick-start his career during the loan stint with the Lions, bagging 11 goals in 36 competitive outings last term.
West Ham bid for Abdennour
Premier League outfit West Ham have submitted an official proposal for Monaco star Aymen Abdennour, L’Equipe can reveal.
The Tunisian defender has become one of the hottest commodities in world football of late and has been linked with Juventus, Tottenham, Newcastle and few more top sides.
However, the latest reports suggest that West Ham have emerged as the favourites for the signature of the 25-year-old footballer.
The Hammers reportedly submitted a €20 million proposal for the centre-back’s services, only to be informed that the offer was not good enough.
It remains to be seen whether West Ham will return with an improved proposal, but whatever happens, it looks as though the Tunisian will not be staying at Stade Louis II for much longer.
Abdennour has only made 24 league appearances for the Principality club, but that was obviously enough for him to impress potential employers.
Valencia eyeing Portuguese keeper
La Liga giants Valencia are hot on the trail of Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes, according to Superdeporte.
Los Che are desperate to recruit a new shot-stopper after Diego Alves suffered a serious injury, and they have been in talks with Real Sociedad for Geronimo Rulli.
However, with the negotiations not exactly going according to plan, Valencia appear to have turned their attention towards Lyon’s Anthony Lopes.
The 24-year-old has enjoyed two very successful campaigns with les Gones and top European clubs have started to take notice of his impressive displays.
And seeing as his current deal with the French giants is due to expire next summer, Lyon will be forced to consider all serious offers for his services.
The Portugal international came through the youth ranks at Stade Gerland and went on to make 75 Ligue 1 appearances.
