Turkish club Fenerbahce have rejected the idea that they’re trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko. They have stated that they haven’t made any kind of official approach to the club, the player or the manager, as the summer transfer windows around Europe prepare to close.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been with Spurs since back in 2016, after spending three years with Newcastle United. At the time there was a certain degree of confusion over why Tottenham invested in the Frenchman, but over time, he’s proven himself to be a more than capable player for the North London club.
Sissoko is strong on the ball, has great vision and is able to find spaces where others wouldn’t, but the question remains as to whether or not he’s able to do so on a consistent basis. A move to Turkey wouldn’t be all too surprising, but Fenerbahce will have to move fast if they want to make it happen.
