(GSM) – Fenerbahce did what they had to do in order to beat Kayserispor 2-0 and remain at three points from Turkish league leaders Bursaspor.
After Bursaspor’s 2-1 win over Antalyaspor on Saturday, Fenerbahce needed a win to stay within reaching distance from the top spot.
The opening goal in Istanbul came from Gokhan Unal in the 33rd minute and Diego Lugano doubled the advantage two minutes after the break.
There are six rounds left to play in the Turkish Super Lig, and Bursaspor are three points clear at the top and have a better goal record than Fenerbahce. Besiktas follow at another two points in third place.
