Fenerbahce interested in Costa

According to a recent report from AS, Fenerbahce are contemplating a move to try and sign Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa.

The Turkish side would preferably want to try and hurry things up to ensure they can complete the signing before the end of the summer transfer window, but given Atletico’s reputation for dragging their feet when selling players, there is a decent chance that it could take longer than Fenerbahce would like.

Costa hasn’t always been the most favourable of players within the context of world football and while he may be a fantastic goalscorer, that doesn’t always add up to him being the most popular figure.

Turkish football seems to be on the rise and has been for a few years now, and if a figure like Costa heads over to one of their biggest clubs, it could do wonders for them – even if he’s moving out of his prime.
