Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo understands that Turkish giants Fenerbahce are considering a bid for Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio.
The Canaries were earlier linked with a move for Oscar Cardozo, but they seem to have switched their attention to his club teammate.
Fenerbahce are expected to step up their interest and submit an official proposal for the player’s services in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, they could face stiff competition from Zenit, who have long ago been alerted of Salvio’s potential and could now make their interest concrete.
Eduardo Salvio joined Benfica in a big money move from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2012 and he enjoyed an excellent start to his career in Portugal, scoring 10 goals in 29 league outings last season.
A knee ligament injury saw him miss the big chunk of the current season, and only managed 7 league appearances for the Eagles so far this term.
