Fenerbahce move into second place in the Turkish Super League following a 0-1 win at Denizlispor in Friday’s only game.

After last week’s victory over local rivals Besiktas, Fenerbahce did well to add another three points to their season tally. It wasn’t all that easy though, at Denizlispor.

Luis Aragones men needed until the 60th minute for Emre to break the deadlock, and then defended their narrow lead to secure the win.

As a result, ‘Fener’ are now second in the league although a large amount of teams will have a chance to surpass the Istanbul side again when they play later this weekend.

League leaders Trabzonspor host last-placed Kocaelispor on Sunday.
