Fenerbahce are interested in bringing Daley Blind to Turkey in order to give the player the game time he desires, according to the Guardian.
Blind started the season as one of the key players in Jose Mourinho’s system, but once September arrived he seemed to become surplus to requirements and failed to even make the squad for one of Manchester United’s games last month. The Dutchman joined the Manchester club in September of 2014 for a fee of £13.8m, but has often played second fiddle to the club’s other talented defenders.
With Turkish club Fenerbahce offering him a chance to play regularly it may not be a surprise to see Blind make the switch. Fenerbahce are struggling in the Süper Lig this season, by their own high standards at least, sitting in seventh place and eight points behind leaders Galatasaray. Acquiring Blind’s signature could certainly help stem the flow of goals they are conceding. The team have let in 11 in their seven league games, and Blind would be a welcome addition to their defence.
