Ferdinand: We want the right people at the right time

(GSM) – England captain Rio Ferdinand has made it clear that there’s no resentment over Jamie Carragher’s England World Cup selection.

The Liverpool defender has returned to international football to join the squad of the Three Lions.

“If he’s there to do a job, then I’m happy,” Ferdinand told the Daily Mail. “As long as we win I don’t care.

“You can stick Father Christmas at the back alongside me at the last minute if it works. We want the right people at the right time for the trophy. End of story.”
