Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is confident they will manage to bounce back from their Champions League final defeat to Barcelona.
The Red Devils failed to win the Quadruple, but Fergie admits they best team won the game last night.
He said: “In fairness we were beaten by the best team. We weren’t at our best.
“The first goal was a killer, it was a bad start to the game. If you give them the ball they will keep it all night.
“We weren’t good enough – we had plenty of time to recover, we had some half-chances in the second half where we should have done better on the crosses.
“But we weren’t at our best. After the first goal it was very difficult for us.
“I brought on Carlos Tevez in the second half because I had to take a gamble, we needed someone to drop into the box all the time.
“Barcelona defended quite well. We thought we’d get at their back four better than we did – that was a disappointment.
“But you learn a lot from a defeat – you move forward quicker after adversity. We’re still a young team and we can improve after this.”
