Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted with his side’s display in the 2-0 away win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
United are now six points clear at the top of the table, after goals by Ryan Giggs and Park Ji-sung.
“I thought it was a very good performance in terms that they worked their socks off,” he told Sky Sports.
“They knew it was going to be battle and we had to withstand that, but once we got hold of the ball we always knew we would be a dangerous
“Once we got in front – they are a young side so nerves come into play against Manchester United as they knew they had to chase the game.”
